සවස 4.30 ට බොරැල්ල සුසාන භූමීයේදී පූජනීය ඥානජෝති ස්වාමීන් වහන්සේගේ දේහයෙහි ආදාහන කටයුතු සිදුකෙරෙනු ඇත.අතිපූජනීය බම්බලපිටියේ ඥානාලෝක ස්වාමින්වහන්සේ වැනි මහා ශාසනික සේවාවක් සිදු කරමින් යන පුත්‍ රුවනක් සම්බුද්ධ ශාසනයට දායාද කර දී , තම පුතනුවන්ට ප්‍රධාන කැපකරු වශයෙන් දායකතවයෙන් උපස්තාන කරමින් ද ජිවිතයේ අවසන් භාගයේ පැවිදි දිවියට පත්ව අපවත් වූ සේක. අප සසරේ සිදු කරන ලද යම් කුසල කර්මයක් වේද ඒ සියලු කුසල ධර්මයෝ ගෞරවණීය ස්වාමීන්වහන්සේගේ පාරමී මග හාම යාව නිබ්බාණ වේවා... බුදු පසේ බුදු මහ රහත් කළ්‍යාණ මිත්‍ර සෙවනේ වැඩෙමින් පැතුම් බෝධියෙන් උතුම් වූ චතුරාර්‍ය සත්‍ය ධර්මය සුවසේම අවබෝධ කර ගනිත්වායි ගෞරවයෙන් ප්‍රාර්තනා කරමු.

We regret to announce the passing of the Venerable Gnānajōthi Thero, beloved father of the Most Venerable Gnānāloka Thero of Bambalapitiya,this morning.
The body of the late Thero will be placed for final respects tomorrow, December 11, 2024, at the Jayaratne Funeral Parlour in Borella (Respect Hall, 483 Bauddhaloka Mawatha, Colombo) from 8:00 AM to 3:45 PM. The cremation ceremony will follow at 4:30 PM at the Borella Cemetery.
Venerable Gnānajōthi Thero offered his son, to the Sambuddha Sāsana), dedicated himself as a key supporter to his son’s spiritual journey and later embraced monastic life himself. His virtuous life and service to the Sambuddha Sāsana will always be remembered.
May his meritorious deeds guide him toward the blissful peace of Nibbāna.
