The Sri Sambuddha Mission Charitable Trust was founded by Venerable Bambalapitiye Gnanaloka Thero in May 2017.
The Venerable Thero is the Founder Trustee and Spiritual Advisor/ Leader.
The OBJECTS of the Trust are:
- To protect and foster the Buddha Sasana.
- To preserve and offer the pristine pure teachings of Lord Buddha enshrined in the Pali Tipitaka of Theravada Buddhism.
- To impart methods of Buddhist meditation and practice.
- To teach meditation and to organize meditation courses, camps, retreats and similar activity which will facilitate meditation.
- To act towards Promotion and Advancement of Buddhist Studies, Education, Research and Integration of Buddhist Studies with the Dhamma Practice.
- To promote and propagate the teachings of The Buddha internationally.
- To support and assist Bhikkhus who are strictly following the teachings of the Buddha.
- To publish books on Theravada Buddhist teachings and any subject related thereto.
- To support and uplift the welfare of Maha Sangha.
- To assist and uplift the lives of the poor, needy and people in distress as and where appropriate.
