Bambalapitiye Gnanaloka Thero founded the Sri Sambuddha Mission Charitable Trust in 2017, serving as the spiritual advisor to the Sri Sambuddha Ramneeya Ashramaya—a serene forest monastery and meditation center nestled in the picturesque surroundings of Dunumala, Sri Lanka. Established to support meditation practitioners and propagate the Buddha’s original teachings, the Trust is dedicated to preserving and sharing the Dhamma with sincerity and generosity.
Our Objectives
1. Protect and nurture the Buddha Sasana.
2. Preserve and share the pristine teachings of Lord Buddha as enshrined in the Pali Tipitaka of Theravada Buddhism.
3. Impart methods of Buddhist meditation and practice.
4. Teach meditation and organize courses, retreats, and activities to support meditation practice.
5. Promote and advance Buddhist studies, education, research, and the integration of academic study with Dhamma practice.
6. Propagate the teachings of the Buddha globally.
7. Support Bhikkhus who adhere strictly to the Buddha’s teachings.
8. Publish books on Theravada Buddhist teachings and related subjects.
9. Support and uplift the welfare of the Maha Sangha.
10. Assist and uplift the lives of the poor, needy, and those in distress wherever appropriate.
